This role requires an individual who is organized, effective at multi-tasking and detail oriented, with strong communication and people skills. There is a possibility that this role will grow into a team lead role in the next two years and you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the current lead to gain valuable leadership exposure and demonstrate your readiness for potential advancement. Depending on experience and knowledge, the core responsibilities of the role will be, but not limited to: Drafting corporate legal documentation including incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, corporate and tax reorganizations, various share transactions, extra provincial registrations, various types of dividend transactions, name changes, restorations and other documents as required Corresponding with lawyers and clients to receive and confirm instructions Conducting minute book reviews and fixing deficiencies as required Preparing closing agendas Acting as point of contact for corporate client inquiries Other administrative duties as required Collaborate with the current team lead to learn workflow management, process oversight, and team coordination Take on leadership-related tasks to build your skills and visibility for potential advancement. What You Bring To The Table Minimum 8 years of experience as a Paralegal in a busy corporate practice A Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution Understanding of BC Online, ALF, iManage, Outlook and Word Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and in a team environment Compensation The typical salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related skills/knowledge, experience, and internal and market equity.
