About the Opportunity This is a full-time Paralegal opportunity offering career growth and the chance to become an integral member of a collaborative legal team. Rather than being assigned exclusively to one lawyer, you will work collectively with the firm's professionals, providing broad administrative and legal support across the practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills through exposure to a diverse range of corporate and securities matters while working alongside experienced legal professionals in a high-performance environment. Following successful completion of the probationary period, this position can be performed on a hybrid basis, with the opportunity to work from home up to three days per week. About the Position As a Paralegal, you will provide comprehensive support to the firm's securities and corporate professionals. The role combines legal administrative responsibilities, file management, billing support, client service, and general office support. Key Responsibilities Processing legal and administrative documents. Opening files, including client identification and verification and conflict checks. Closing files and coordinating off-site file processing. Managing digital and physical filing systems. Managing audit inquiries and preparing responses using templates and precedents. Assisting with billing, collections, cheques, and deposits. Providing reception relief as required. Supporting lawyers and colleagues with changing priorities and day-to-day legal administrative needs. You will work as part of the firm's collective team rather than being assigned directly to a single lawyer, making collaboration, flexibility, and communication essential to success in the role. The Requirements 3+ years of experience in corporate and securities law. Experience working in a business law environment is preferred. Law firm experience is preferred but not required. Strong proficiency with the full Microsoft Office 365 suite. Experience with or knowledge of ALF+, BC Online, TMX Linx, and SEDAR+. Experience with billing software such as Soluno is an asset. A Paralegal or LAA certificate is an asset. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent time management and ability to manage competing priorities. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $80,000-$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Hybrid work arrangement. Opportunity for professional development and long-term career growth.
