This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal research, document management, and case preparation within a dynamic environment. As a Paralegal Intern, you will support attorneys and legal staff by assisting with various administrative and substantive tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our legal services. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their understanding of legal processes while honing essential skills such as research, writing, and organization. Responsibilities Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to gather relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents Assist with drafting legal documents, including memos, summaries, and correspondence, ensuring clarity and accuracy Organize and maintain case files using iManage or similar document management systems Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, managing schedules, and coordinating meetings or interviews with clients or witnesses Proofread and review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting Perform data entry tasks related to case information, ensuring all records are up-to-date and correctly filed Assist with clerical duties such as filing documents, answering phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and maintaining organized workspaces Experience Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a paralegal studies program or related field Prior administrative or clerical experience is highly desirable Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Strong research skills with familiarity in legal databases like LexisNexis or Westlaw preferred Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents and correspondence Experience with legal drafting, proofreading, and editing is a plus Familiarity with project management tools and data entry processes enhances your candidacy This paid internship provides a valuable platform for aspiring legal professionals to develop practical skills while contributing meaningfully to our team.
