Job details
U.S. Immigration Paralegal (Remote – Canada) Remote | Contract | CAD $50,000/year | Canada About the Role You'll be a remote paralegal on our U.S. immigration team, working with our attorneys in Florida on investor visas (E-2 and EB-5), TN and L-1 visas, family-based petitions, green cards, and naturalization. Many of our clients are Canadians making the same move our founders made. Your days are spent building petitions, collecting documents from clients, and making sure every filing is complete and on time. This is U.S. immigration, not Canadian, and you don't need to know it yet. If you've been a strong paralegal or law clerk in litigation, corporate, real estate, family law, or estates, we'll teach you the U.S. side. What we can't teach is the foundation: running your own files, owning your deadlines, and getting it right the first time. This isn't an entry-level role. If that sounds like you, there's room to grow here as we do. Relevant Backgrounds: Paralegal · Law Clerk · U.S. Immigration Law Clerk · Immigration Case Manager · Global Mobility · Litigation Clerk · Corporate Law Clerk · Real Estate Law Clerk · Family Law Clerk · Estates Clerk What You'll Do Build U.S. immigration petitions and supporting evidence packages for attorney review Request and review documents from clients, and follow up until the file is complete Prepare and check every form, signature, and exhibit before a filing goes out Draft cover letters, client correspondence, affidavits, and government forms Track deadlines, receipt notices, and case status in our case management system Give clients clear, plain-language updates on where their case stands Manage your own caseload from document collection through filing What We're Looking For Required 1+ years as a paralegal or law clerk at a law firm, in any practice area, handling your own files from start to finish A paralegal or law clerk diploma or certificate, or a college or university degree A sharp eye for detail. In immigration, one missing signature can get a filing rejected. Clear, professional writing and phone manner Living in Canada and available Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm Eastern Time, with a quiet workspace and reliable internet Preferred U.S. immigration experience, especially investor visas, TN or L-1 visas, family-based petitions, or green cards Experience with case management software Experience working remotely with a team Bilingual Compensation CAD $50,000 a year, paid monthly (about $4,167 a month). This is a contract role: you'll work with us as your own small business, send us one invoice a month in Canadian dollars, and we'll pay it by wire.
