Corporate Paralegal Halifax, NS Reference # AC - 7406 Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Cox & Palmer, one of Atlantic Canada's largest and most established law firms, to recruit a Corporate Paralegal to join their Halifax office. As a member of the Corporate Services team, the Corporate Paralegal will provide support to lawyers and clients on a variety of corporate matters, including incorporations, reorganizations, regulatory filings, due diligence requests, and the maintenance of corporate records. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Incorporate and organize Nova Scotia and Federal corporations, including both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. • Prepare documentation related to corporate reorganizations, dissolutions, and other corporate transactions. • Coordinate extra-provincial registrations and business name registrations across multiple jurisdictions. • Prepare routine corporate resolutions and related documentation. • Review, maintain, and update corporate minute books and records. • Submit filings with federal and provincial corporate registries and other regulatory bodies. • Track compliance requirements and maintain corporate records to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. • Process due diligence requests and prepare supporting documentation. • Prepare and file PPSA registrations. • Support the training and mentorship of team members as required. • Maintain accurate time records and assist with additional corporate services activities as needed. YOUR REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Corporate Paralegal or Corporate Law Clerk role. • Strong experience supporting corporate transactions and maintaining corporate records. • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with Athennian would be considered an asset. • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to exceptional client service.
