Family Law Clerk (Minimum 3 Years' Experience) (Hybrid/Remote) About the Firm Our client is a well-established family law firm known for guiding clients through separation, divorce, and related family law matters with practical, client-focused advocacy. The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Family Law Clerk to join its team and support lawyers across a broad range of family law matters. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing files, communicating directly with clients, and working independently in a fast-paced environment, with meaningful responsibility across the full life cycle of a file. Key Responsibilities Assist with family law matters involving separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, and property division. Draft correspondence, pleadings, financial statements, affidavits, briefs and other court documents. Prepare and organize materials for conferences, motions, mediations, arbitrations and trials. Manage court deadlines, calendars and limitation periods. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts and other parties. Request, organize and review financial disclosure and other supporting documentation. Assist with document production and preparation of disclosure briefs. Maintain organized electronic and physical files. Schedule meetings, court appearances, examinations and other appointments. Support lawyers with file management and general administrative requirements. Qualifications At least three years of law-clerk experience, preferably focused on family law. Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education. Familiarity with Ontario family law procedures, court forms and filing requirements. Experience drafting family law documents and preparing financial disclosure. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice-management software.
