An internal promotion has created a fabulous opportunity for an outstanding professional to take on the full-time position of Executive Assistant, People Potential. This position is based at A&W's corporate Home Office in North Vancouver, BC. This important, multi-faceted role provides proactive, confidential, high-level administrative service to the Chair of the A&W Board, the Vice-President, People Potential, the Vice President, Innovation as well as a wide range of administrative support functions to the dynamic People Potential team. Responsibilities include: calendar and appointment management; making travel arrangements; planning, scheduling and coordinating meetings, onboarding activities, training workshops and special events; drafting and distribution of internal and external communications materials; overseeing a bring-forward system; preparing expense reports; and other general administrative duties, as required. The Executive Assistant reports to the Vice-President, People Potential and works closely with all members of a fast-paced People Potential team. The Executive Assistant, People Potential also interfaces with a wide range of A&W employees, franchisees, suppliers, consultants and other external stakeholders
The candidate must have exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, a strong drive for results, high integrity, respect for confidentiality and abundant common sense. Calm and gracious under pressure, the candidate must possess a unique ability to distill competing priorities and respond appropriately in a wide range of circumstances. With an outstanding eye for detail, very strong technology and computer skills and a positive manner, the candidate must have the ability to anticipate issues, take initiative and manage highly detailed work with accuracy and discretion. A curious self-starter with a commitment to service and teamwork, the candidate must have the willingness and ability to identify process improvement opportunities and action those opportunities. With the capacity to multi-task with ease and accuracy, the candidate must have sound judgment, a high tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferably, the candidate has had at least 2 years of experience in a senior administrative position in a head-office environment and has completed a post-secondary diploma or degree in a relative discipline such as Law, Commerce, Business Administration, or Communications. The candidate must possess proof of COVID vaccination. Fluency in English is a requirement. Fluency in French is highly desirable.
