KSW Lawyers is looking for an experienced employment Paralegal to join our Employment & Labour Group. This is a full time position with the flexibility to work remotely or at our Surrey or Abbotsford offices. You will be doing true paralegal work with support from legal administrative assistants!

About You

We are looking for the following qualifications from candidates:

  • Recognized Paralegal education (diploma or degree preferred)
  • 3+ years litigation experience
  • Excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills with a client focused approach
  • Experience in employment, human rights or admin law is an asset
  • Proactive problem-solver

About The Role

The perfect candidate joining our Group will be working closely with our team on the following:

  • Assisting with employment, human rights, and admin files from start to finish involving BC Provincial & Supreme Court and Administrative Tribunals (ESB, BCHRT, CHRC etc.)
  • Drafting pleadings, demand letters, contracts and correspondence
  • Maintaining a BF and deadline system
  • Communicating with clients directly
  • Managing a busy case load
  • Working well in a team environment 
  • Prioritizing competing deadlines
  • Collaborating and working with 2 LAAs
  • Following instructions with minimal supervision and taking initiative
  • Recording time and preparing monthly billing statements
  • Other tasks as assigned
