Consider these challenging opportunities in the Superior and Ontario Court of Justice as a Court Services Officer, where you will provide support to the judiciary, juries and the overall administration of the courts.

Please note you will work zero to 36.25 hours per week, depending on operational requirements, with no guaranteed hours. You will also be required to work on weekends and holidays and be able to travel to other court locations.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for ensuring courtroom readiness
• Maintain proper decorum in the court
• Conduct jury roll calls
• Call and escort witnesses into court
• Attend to juries
• Provide assistance to the public
• Provide assistance to the judiciary as required

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• You have a valid Ontario driver's licence

Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of the Superior and Ontario Court of Justice or other adjudicative proceedings
• You have awareness of legislative requirements as they pertain to juries
• You have knowledge of courtroom decorum and confidentiality/impartiality

Clerical Skills:

• You have clerical knowledge and keyboarding skills to ensure accurate completion of court documents

Communication and Analytical Skills:

• You have oral communication skills, public speaking skills and interpersonal skills
• You are able to interact with the judiciary, the public and other stakeholders with tact and diplomacy
• You possess judgement to maintain courtroom decorum
• You are able to respond to inquiries and to deal with routine issues
