The Analyst, Real Estate II is accountable to the Director, Asset Management for monitoring, maintaining and reporting information and statistical data on characteristics, composition and performance of assets under management to be used by internal and external stakeholders to assist in their decision-making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Asset Reporting
Regularly extracts and validates data, as well as creates and maintains reports on the location, size, value, asset mix and operational performance of the portfolio of managed assets; including recent changes to the portfolio, on a national, regional and client basis for all Morguard properties, in order to provide accurate and timely information for decision making.
2. Financial Modeling
Applies financial modeling, on a regular and ad-hoc basis, to a variety of projects in order to assess the viability, profitability and ongoing operations of specific projects to assist in decision making as well as collecting commentaries, for Retail business plans in order to assist in the timely completion of the business plans on an annual basis.
3. Portfolio and Performance Analysis
Responds to various ad-hoc queries and performs analysis on portfolio attributes, trends and performance, as required by internal stakeholders, in order to assist in decision making and reporting.
4. Quarterly Reporting
Assists Retail Asset Management in ensuring data integrity in the quarterly reporting process in order to provide accurate and timely information for decision making.
5. Support to Stakeholder Communications
Collects and validates data, drafts and assists in preparation of presentations to external parties including brokers, investors and tenants in order to report on the performance of specific properties and to position the organization as a high-class real estate advisory.
6. Real Estate Analyst Program
Attends valuation and property team meetings (including asset management, leasing and property management) in order to learn about the property management business and issues relating to the properties.
