The real estate development and planning division of OTT Financial Group manages millions of sq. ft. in high-end real estate investments and thousands of acres of land planning projects. Job Responsibilities

  • Understand construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with regulations and conformity with contract documents.
  • Manage and administer all real estate related contracts; be able to identify contract thoroughness, risk mitigation, missing items, legal compliance, and items that are favourable or unfavourable to our business.
  • Deal with contracts for all aspects or stages of Real Estate Development, such as contracts for planning, design, construction, contractor agreement etc.
  • Create and maintain a contracts database including terms and conditions, renewal timelines, performance metrics etc.
  • Provide important inputs on drafting or preparing professional real estate contract framework, content coverage, conditions, legal compliance etc.
  • Monitor subcontractors and construction teams to ensure they are meeting their contractual conditions of performance.
  • Work within tight deadlines with engineers and consultants in a fast-paced environment to coordinate all aspects of the construction or development process according to contracts
  • Work with VP, Real Estate Development, Stakeholders and Senior Leaders as required
  • Assess potential risks and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Administering complex contracts, such as alternative finance and procurement projects
  • Reviewing, evaluating, and assisting with negotiating claims from owners, consultants, and subcontractors; preparing documents, correspondence, and submissions to support or defend claims.
  • Responsible for managing the contract lifecycle for agreements negotiated with suppliers, vendors, consultants, contractors and other third parties; ensure that contracts are drafted and updated and in compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Support the real estate team with the contract administration required to initiate a contract and support the on-going management of the vendor through the lifecycle of the contract.
  • Maintain contract files to ensure compliance with OTT requirements, administration of supplier files, certificates of insurance, amendments, letters, and other contractual documents.
  • Close out trade contracts and holdbacks.


  • 9+ years experience in the Real Estate Development industry as a Contracts Manager with a record of completing full-cycle contract management for mid and high rise construction projects
  • Bachelor/Master’s in Civil Engineering or Construction or Real Estate Development
  • Possess excellent knowledge in contract management especially in legal compliance for large-scale construction projects – multifamily, retail, commercial, ICI.
  • Have a thorough understanding of both high rise residential and commercial project contracts
  • Proficiency in PM software, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam
  • Knowledge and experience with CCDC, negotiations and close outs with builders.
  • Able to provide a brief list of project contract experiences
  • A valid G driver’s license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel to various project locations.
