The team

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a Marketing and Business Development Advisor for an 18 month contract. The position will report to the Marketing and Business Development Senior Manager in Montréal and is part of the Canadian Marketing and Business Development team.

The role

The Marketing and Business Development Advisor project manages and delivers the business plan under the leadership of the Marketing and Business Development Senior Manager of the city in which he / she is based. This dynamic position executes tactics and initiatives to implement the growth priorities.

You will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues locally, nationally and globally to execute on nationally and globally-driven programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and project manage the development and deployment of integrated marketing campaigns, initiatives and sponsorships (office or practice group)
  • Utilize and populate established campaign development and management tools and ensure process adherence and KPI reporting
  • Support the Toronto office and national business law group with regional marketing and BD initiatives
  • Provide marketing and business development support for the strategic planning process led by the Marketing and Business Development Senior Manager
  • Lead practice specific directory submissions and actively engage in those centrally managed, such as Chambers and Legal 500 (together with content team)
  • May be called upon to create credential pieces or provide proposal support
  • Assist in writing, editing and proofreading collateral (print and online) related to marketing and business development initiatives
  • Liaise with global networks, as required
  • Ensure compliance with communication policies, procedures and brand standards
  • Seek thought leadership opportunities within the local market, leveraging Canadian and global content
  • Collaborate with team members across the Client Services Team to provide exceptional client service

Skills and qualifications

  • University diploma and/or post-secondary studies in business administration and/or communications
  • Possess - 5 years of relevant experience in a professional services environment
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of, and interest in, the professional services industry and business-to- business marketing
  • Excellent project management skills, strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
  • Digitally savvy and conversant with digital marketing, news media and social media strategies and tactics
  • Ability to manage multiple, disparate projects through to completion, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A self-starter who is able to work with little day-to-day supervision
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with high-level internal clients and with colleagues of all levels in different locations
  • Experience working with matrix organizations an asset
  • Business-to-business marketing experience is required
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual in French is an asset
