SUMMARY OF EMPLOYMENT
Under the responsibility of the Senior Director, Legal Affairs and Assistant Corporate Secretary of GJC Pharmaceutical Division, the incumbent provides a range of legal services to the various departments of the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Drafts, reviews and interprets contracts for all of the company's services, including commercial, real estate and franchising transactions.
  • Performs legal research in various fields.
  • Writes, interprets and expresses opinions, particularly on civil, commercial, real estate, pharmaceutical and franchise law as well as on the laws and regulations to which the company is subject.
  • Advises the managers of the various departments of the company.
  • Supports his immediate superior in the legal files of the company.
  • Ensures the follow-up of mandates entrusted to external lawyers.
  • Monitors the legal, regulatory and jurisprudential changes that may affect the business and encourages its adaptation to these changes.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of service models and procedures.
  • Revise the advertising and advertising contests of the company.
  • Performs any special projects requested by his immediate superior.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT (Level of Education - Experience - Skill)

  • Have a law degree.
  • Be a member of the Quebec Bar or the Chambre des Notaires.
  • Have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in commercial, real estate or franchising law.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical field, an asset.
  • Demonstrate a very good business sense, negotiation skills and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, rigor and initiative.
  • Have a good sense of planning and organization.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to handle multiple files at once.
  • Be bilingual (French and English) both orally and in writing.
  • Possess an excellent French grammar.
  • Master Office software.
