Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Real Estate Law Clerk to manage residential real estate transactions closings from start to finish. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong knowledge of end-to-end real estate procedures, and excels at providing seamless service to clients. This role is responsible for supporting real estate lawyers with end-to-end residential closing processes, including reviewing agreements, preparing and organizing legal documents, and coordinating with clients, lenders, and real estate professionals. Daily tasks include managing files, conducting title and off-title searches, drafting correspondence, tracking critical dates, and ensuring all documentation complies with applicable laws and regulations. The Law Clerk will also update internal systems, maintain accurate records, and help streamline workflows to support ProClosr’s digital-first closing experience. Collaboration, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to client service are key to success in this role. Qualifications Strong foundation in real estate law and related legal procedures, with experience supporting real estate transactions. Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing closing documents and agreements. Effective communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with clients, lawyers, lenders, and real estate professionals. Research and writing skills to conduct title and due diligence searches, summarize findings, and prepare clear legal correspondence. Relevant education such as a Law Clerk diploma, Paralegal program, or related post-secondary qualification or equivalent combination of legal education and practical experience Experience using legal practice management software and digital document management tools; comfort working in a technology-enabled environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Commitment to client-centered service, integrity, and maintaining confidentiality; previous experience in Ontario real estate law is an asset.
