We Are Hiring | Estate, Corporate & Tax Law Clerk Spear & Shield Law Professional Corporation | Mississauga, Ontario Spear & Shield Law Professional Corporation is seeking an experienced Estate Planning, Corporate & Tax Law Clerk to join our growing practice in Mississauga. Our firm focuses on estate planning, corporate law, family wealth succession planning and tax matters, including wills, trusts, corporate reorganizations, estate freezes and CRA-related matters. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can take ownership of files, communicate effectively with clients and contribute to the continued growth of our firm. Position Details Position: Full-Time Estate, Corporate & Tax Law Clerk Location: Mississauga, Ontario Work Arrangement: In-Person Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working in a law office Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and capabilities Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist with a variety of estate planning, corporate and tax-related matters, including: Estate Planning & Wills Assisting with the preparation and coordination of Primary Wills, Secondary Wills, Powers of Attorney and Family Trust documents Supporting probate and estate administration matters Organizing estate information, trust records and supporting documentation Assisting with trust distributions and estate settlement matters Corporate Law & Business Matters Preparing corporate incorporations, amendments, dissolutions and annual filings Preparing corporate resolutions and maintaining minute books and corporate records Conducting corporate searches and reviewing corporate documentation Assisting with share transactions, shareholder agreements and corporate governance matters Assisting with corporate reorganizations, estate freezes and tax-driven transactions, including Section 85 rollovers, Section 86 exchanges and Section 88 reorganizations Reviewing corporate structures, ownership records and share attributes Tax Planning & CRA Matters Assisting with CRA audits, reviews and correspondence Organizing documentation and preparing summaries for tax matters Conducting research on complex tax issues and assisting with preparation of tax memoranda Supporting Tax Court of Canada matters Assisting with implementation of tax and estate planning strategies Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 5 years of experience working in a law office Experience in corporate law, wills and estates, trusts or tax-related legal work Strong client communication and file management skills Ability to prepare professional correspondence and legal documents Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software systems We are looking for someone who is responsible, proactive, detail-oriented and interested in building a long-term career in estate planning, corporate law and tax law.
