Job summary
The ideal candidate will have strong client management skills, analytical ability, communication and drafting skills, an entrepreneurial attitude, and a strong interest in technology and innovation. Primary Duties Work closely with Family Law Lawyers, clerks, and administrative team Day-to-day management of assigned family law files Draft pleadings, affidavits, motions, conference briefs, financial statements, and net family property statements Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties via phone, video, and email Compile complex financial and net family property statements, including review and analysis of corporate financials, business valuations, and farm properties Maintain daily task list for client files Docket time spent on files Use DivorceMate, Microsoft Office Suite, LEAP (or equivalent), and Adobe Perform other duties as assigned Skills / Knowledge / Experience Required Minimum 5 years of Family Law experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to client service Relevant post-secondary education (University Degree or Law Clerk Diploma) Strong knowledge of DivorceMate, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Thorough understanding of Family Law rules, legal procedures, and statutes Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization skills
