Position: Paralegal / Legal Assistant – Boutique Law Firm Job ID: 16815687 Location: Downtown Montreal, QC Salary: $60,000 – $100,000 Employment Type: Full-time, on-site Language Requirements: English (primary); functional French About The Firm Small, dynamic law firm specializing in litigation and some corporate law Collaborative, supportive, and professional work environment Diverse client base covering business law, real estate, civil/commercial litigation, and estate matters Why This Role Work closely with the lawyer/owner on high-profile files Opportunity to manage your own files and take ownership Exposure to varied legal practice areas Supportive boutique environment that values professionalism and collaboration Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and format legal documents (letters, pleadings, resolutions, corporate forms, real estate documents, etc.) Conduct legal research and compile case law or background materials Prepare court documents and assist with filing/service in accordance with Quebec and federal rules Manage physical and electronic client files with accuracy and confidentiality Maintain calendars, deadlines, and limitation dates for multiple files Support corporate matters: incorporations, resolutions, minute books, filings Assist in real estate transactions: draft documentation, review title searches, prepare closings, coordinate processes Communicate professionally with clients, notaries, opposing counsel, and court personnel Prepare invoices, track billable hours, and assist with billing and collections General office duties: scanning, filing, database management Qualifications / Requirements Diploma in Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant certification from a recognized institution Minimum 3 years of continuous law firm experience (up to 20 years considered), preferably in a small or boutique office Strong command of English (written and spoken); functional French Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with legal software (Clio, JurisÉvolution, CosmoLex, etc.) is an asset Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Professional demeanor, ability to work independently and collaboratively Why Apply Supportive, collegial boutique law firm environment Hands-on exposure to varied legal practice areas Downtown Montreal location, close to public transit Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity for career stability and long-term growth How To Apply Please send your CV confidentially to: mlomanno@talentsphere.ca TSSHP LI-TS1
