Position Overview The firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join their growing team. This role will involve managing residential real estate files and borrower-side private mortgage closings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines, and a commitment to clear, professional communication with mortgage brokers, borrowers, and internal team members. Key Responsibilities Manage residential real estate transactions from file opening to closing Handle borrower-side private mortgage closings, ensuring compliance with instructions and timelines Draft, review, and finalize legal documents with a high degree of accuracy Serve as a primary point of contact for mortgage brokers, and borrowers, maintaining proactive and professional communication Collaborate within a team, supporting other clerks and contributing to a positive team dynamic Core Competencies Strong Attention to Detail: Demonstrates accuracy in preparing and reviewing legal documents, ensuring errors are minimized and all details are correct Efficiency Under Pressure: Capable of working quickly without sacrificing quality, consistently meeting tight deadlines Exceptional Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and respectfully Teamwork: Works collaboratively within the group, supports other clerks, and contributes positively to the team environment Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk Proficiency with Teraview, PC Law, Unity (or similar practice management software), and Microsoft Office Suite Strong knowledge of Ontario real estate law Compensation Salary range: $65,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive Benefits Plan Why This Opportunity Join a reputable mid-size firm with a collaborative and supportive work culture Work within a collegial environment that values teamwork and professionalism Expanding practice with steady workflow
