LABOUR & EMPLOYMENT LEGAL ASSISTANT OUR CLIENT A full-service law firm located in Downtown, Toronto
THE ROLE Manage calendars and coordinate meetings, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings. Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Prepare and organize materials for workplace disputes, investigations, grievance matters, negotiations, and tribunal proceedings. Maintain electronic and physical files, including document collection, filing, and records management. Monitor deadlines and support the progression of active matters. Prepare time entries, expense reports, billing materials, and other administrative documentation. Act as a liaison with clients, counsel, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. Provide general administrative and legal support to ensure the efficient operation of the practice group.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm environment, preferably supporting a Labour & Employment or Litigation practice. Experience with document management, time and billing, and practice management software is an asset.
