Role Overview: Our Toronto office is currently seeking a Solutions Architect to join our Information Technology department, reporting to the Team Lead, Data & Analytics / AI Transformation. This role centers on the design, build, documentation, and maintenance of automation and Business Intelligence solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity across the Firm. The role also provides third-level support to other IT team members, addressing complex issues and providing advanced technical assistance for automation, BI and analytics solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: Evaluating, designing, and analyzing the implementation of automation and BI solutions across a group of specific business applications or technologies, based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements, and enterprise standards. Designing, building, documenting, and maintaining automation solutions using Power Automate, Azure Cognitive Services, Copilot agents, and other BI services. Maintaining and supporting the Firm's data lake, including data pipelines, data integrity, and overall data quality. Designing, building, and maintaining BI dashboards and analytics to support business decision-making. Staying current on developments in BI, AI, data, and automation technology, and relays new developments and their impact to IT management. Consulting with application team leads to ensure connectivity of data between business applications and identifies when it is necessary to modify designs to accommodate the solution's connected architecture. Creating and maintaining architectural data flow designs to guide and contextualize solution development across applications. Working closely with the project management office (PMO) to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product life cycle. Understanding emerging AI, automation, and data technology trends and their practical application to enable new and evolving business and operating models (stretch). Designing and implementing governance to ensure solutions architecture assurance, security, and compliance across all automation, AI, and data solutions. Liaising with stakeholders to establish requirements, plan solutions, and guide execution through to delivery. Providing advanced (third level) support for automation, BI, and analytics solutions. Ensuring that incidents are resolved within established SLAs. Maintaining a well-documented known state of automation and BI solutions. Continually reviewing and identifying processes and configurations to ensure that they meet expectations. Modelling and cultivating behaviours that achieve business success, including collaboration, accountability, and ownership. Developing new ideas for improving organizational performance. Providing on-call support to deal with emergency support, outages, and updates. Other duties and responsibilities as they may be assigned.

The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills: A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience 4+ years of experience in enterprise applications and automation development, with 3+ years of experience implementing and administering Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) and services such as Azure Cognitive Services and Copilot Studio / Copilot agents A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical or infrastructure architecture, application development, database management, and cloud implementation In-depth experience with the setup, configuration, and deployment of applications using Azure services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability Experience maintaining and supporting data lake, including pipeline development, monitoring, and data integrity / quality management Sound knowledge of data management and integration services Experience building BI dashboards and analytics (e.g., Power BI) to support business reporting and decision-making Working knowledge and understanding of current AI technologies SQL Server experience is considered an asset Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences Strong understanding of security and governance principles, and experience embedding them into solution design Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture such as integration, network, and security Good understanding of information architecture principles and processes Knowledge of financial models in the professional services industry Proven analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with external developers and consultants Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver effectively and efficiently On-call after-hours support may be required.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually
