Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a Float Legal Assistant to work in the Business Group in our Vancouver office. This position will appeal to candidates who enjoy a fun, challenging position in an office with a great culture. The primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below: You will be focusing on: Assist our Business Group, providing vacation and sick leave coverage for Legal Assistants, in addition to overload assistance Edit, format, print and revise letters, memos, reports, forms, labels and other printed material using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, from dictation or other instruction as required Initiation of documentation and correspondence on files Assisting with opening and closing client/matter files Updating client file lists Maintain an efficient file management and bring forward system Handling incoming mail and outgoing mail Perform administrative and related duties as assigned and assist others in the department as required Perform a variety of routine tasks as well as special projects as required What you bring to the role: 3+ years of experience in a Legal Assistant position preferably with Business experience Graduate of Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience Advanced PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Chrome River, SAP, MS Teams, iManage knowledge would be an asset) Able to work with minimal direction or instructions Able to delegate work appropriately to other service departments and/or Administrative Clerks Able to manage, organize and prioritize work independently Able to maintain excellent working relationships with all staff Excellent spelling and grammar skills Why join our team: Retirement savings plan with employer contribution Benefit premiums paid by the firm Telemedicine services Wellness matters: Flexible health and wellness allowance that covers much more than gym memberships!
