About the role

Miller Canfield LLP is a leading international law firm that represents clients throughout Canada, the United States, and overseas.

The Windsor, Ontario office of Miller Canfield LLP prides itself on providing exceptional service to clients and a positive and rewarding career for our team. We are seeking highly motivated legal assistants with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience, who will navigate the complexities of working in a busy law firm.

The successful applicants will work closely with leading lawyers and be involved in all aspects of the Group practices.

Position Overviews We are looking for full-time Legal Assistants who are proactive and detail oriented. Our ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of working in a law office and will be able to manage a diverse caseload in combination with our lawyers. These roles require experience, excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and responsibilities:

· At least 3 to 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant; · Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment; · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; · Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible; · Ensuring deadlines are met; · Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with other professionals including accountants, property managers, banks, government officials, and lawyers; · Professional demeanor and strong work ethic; · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel; · Availability to work full-time hours (35 hours per week) during regular business hours;
