The Company PearTree is the innovator of the flow-through share donation financing structure which unites the Canadian resource and charitable sectors. PearTree works with Canadian Resource Exploration Companies to arrange and close structured Flow Through Donation Financings, while at the same time helping major gift donors reduce their after-tax cost so they can give more to their favourite Canadian causes.

The Role: We are seeking an experienced and operationally minded law clerk or legal assistant to join our back office. In this role, you would be part of a small group responsible for generating client account and transactional documents. In addition to working directly on client documents, the successful candidate will be involved in liaising with other departments to ensure efficient and timely workflows, and the seamless execution of deal-related and post-deal administrative processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of the firm’s operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation of investor packages, reports and ancillary documents Assembly of client documents using Formstack document assembly software on Salesforce platform Completion of limited partnership offering and ancillary documents Preparation and filing of tax reporting slips Maintaining client files including entering, updating and verifying clients’ data in CRM Track back-office workflow and follow-up as needed to meet deadlines Coordinate with Client Services and other departments as needed to manage logistics Participate in testing enhancements and additions to automated document production Complete other duties and special projects as may be assigned EDUCATION LEVEL A Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent legal experience.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years' experience in a transactional securities legal role working within the financial services industry or a business law firm Strong attention to detail Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Power Point) with advanced skills in Word and PDF Experience with Salesforce is a definite asset Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Strong verbal and written communication abilities Excellent organizational and project management skills Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism SALARY RANGE Salary range is expected to be between $75,000 - $95,000 CAD
