About the Company Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Bilingual Corporate Legal Assistant to join their Montreal office.
Responsibilities Update, revise, and format a variety of complex legal documents, including correspondence, memos, and reports Edit, proofread, and prepare letters, forms, and other materials with a high level of accuracy Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including mail and client inquiries Maintain organized file management and bring-forward systems Provide billing support, including generating monthly invoices and adapting to client-specific requirements Open and close client and matter files in accordance with firm procedures Assist lawyers and team members with administrative and ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements Previous experience as a Legal Assistant Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English Experience in Corporate/Business Law, Securities, or M&A is an asset Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel Experience with SEDAR/SEDI filings is an asset Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
Compensation Competitive salary up to $80,000, commensurate with experience Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Hybrid work arrangement
