JOB TITLE: Director, Advanced Planning (Bilingual – Mandarin Fluency) Job Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 Months (with possibility of extension) Pay Rate : CAD 70/hr to CAD 80 /hr Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), ON – Remote/Field-Based Your New Role As the Director, Advanced Planning, you will serve as a subject matter expert in tax, estate, and wealth planning, supporting financial advisors and high-net-worth Clients across the Central North East Region. Working closely with Regional Sales Directors and Advisors, you will deliver advanced planning strategies, provide case consultation, develop educational materials, and drive sales through sophisticated tax-efficient insurance and estate planning solutions. You will work directly with affluent Clients and their professional advisors, including accountants and lawyers, to identify opportunities related to estate preservation, wealth transfer, succession planning, charitable giving, and business continuation strategies. In addition, you will deliver presentations, workshops, seminars, and training programs to both internal and external audiences. What You Need to Do Provide advanced tax and estate planning consultation to financial advisors and high-net-worth Clients. Support complex case development, research, and customized planning solutions. Deliver educational seminars, workshops, and training sessions to advisors and internal stakeholders. Partner with Regional Sales Directors to drive business growth and strengthen advisor relationships. Develop and promote sales tools, planning concepts, and advisor reference materials. Stay current on legislative, tax, and estate planning developments impacting Clients and advisors. Build strong relationships with financial advisors, accountants, lawyers, and other professional partners. What You'll Need to Succeed: Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal communication). Minimum 5 years of experience within the financial services industry. Strong expertise in personal and corporate tax planning, estate planning, and wealth transfer strategies. Experience advising High Net Worth (HNW) Clients and collaborating with legal and accounting professionals. Knowledge of retirement compensation arrangements, charitable gifting, wills, trusts, business succession, and estate preservation planning. Excellent presentation, facilitation, consulting, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities. One of the following professional designations: CPA LL.B/JD FCIA Completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Program and/or In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner Manager Business Program is considered a strong asset. Ability to travel within the GTA to meet Clients and advisors as required.
