Core practice areas include civil and commercial litigation, commercial law, real estate law, and labour law, providing a dynamic environment for legal professionals. Role Description The Civil and Commercial Litigation Lawyer will handle a varied caseload involving civil disputes, commercial litigation, and related matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and contracts; conducting legal research; preparing legal opinions; and managing files through all stages of litigation. The lawyer will appear before courts and tribunals, negotiate settlements, advise clients on legal risks and strategies, and collaborate with colleagues on complex cases. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC, requiring close coordination with clients and internal team members to deliver timely, high-quality legal services. Qualifications
Strong foundation in civil and commercial Law, with experience in litigation and commercial matters. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing Commercial Contracts, including negotiation and risk assessment. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex Legal Issues in civil and commercial contexts. Experience providing clear, practical Legal Advice to corporate and individual clients. Understanding of Data Privacy principles and their application to client information and business practices. Licensed to practice law in Quebec; Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French. Ability to handle fast paced environment. Strong advocacy, negotiation, and file management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a boutique firm environment. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience; experience in commercial and real estate matters is an advantage.
