Accountabilities Translate patent documentation from Korean into English while preserving the original meaning, technical accuracy, and appropriate style. Deliver high-quality translations across technical fields such as chemistry, biology, computer science, electricity, mechanics, and medical devices. Perform translation, copy editing, proofreading, and machine translation post-editing (MTPE) as required. Use CAT tools, primarily XTM, while following established translation workflows and project guidelines. Ensure terminology consistency, readability, and compliance with client-specific quality standards. Manage assigned workloads efficiently while meeting project deadlines and quality expectations. Communicate proactively in English with project teams and respond promptly to project-related requests. Requirements Minimum of two years of professional experience translating and reviewing patent documentation from Korean into English. Native-level fluency in English with excellent written communication skills. Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proven expertise in patent translation across one or more technical domains, including chemistry, biology, computer science, electricity, mechanics, or medical devices. Experience with CAT tools, particularly XTM, and familiarity with structured translation workflows. Ability to perform translation, proofreading, copy editing, and machine translation post-editing. Strong attention to detail, terminology management, and commitment to delivering technically accurate translations.
