About the role

Writer

I’m a freelance writer and content developer working primarily in the marketing field though some clients just describe me as the content ‘secret weapon’ they never knew they needed!

I’ve explored a wide variety of topics and created collateral for large and small businesses as well as non-profit organizations. I’ve drilled down into several industries, from technology to wellness to management and leadership development. It may be the former lawyer in me, but I enjoy synthesizing elaborate materials, making complex information understandable, and collaborating with others, whether it’s on a marketing campaign, a white paper, or an article.

The Best Fit

Although I am adaptable to almost any work situation and demands, I thrive in situations involving complex concepts that I can 'translate' to copy that is understandable, engaging and on-brand. I enjoy writing blogs, case studies, and projects requiring research and collaboration with subject matter experts.

Awards & Accomplishments

Most recently I became a Prosci Certified Change Manager.

Justine has be writing professional content for Goldbeck Recruiting since August and we have been extremely pleased with her work. I believe she has taken our content to a higher level both in terms of the substance and the style of writing. She is very easy to work with in terms editing together to fully reflect our pov, listens but researches and works independently.

Henry Goldbeck President, Goldbeck Recruiting

Justine is more than a copywriter, she is a content strategist by nature. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Justine, together we were responsible for devising strategies, spit-balling theories, sharing progress, and most importantly - continuously striving for progress. I most appreciated that Justine was truly creative and driven by a desire to not only succeed, but improve. She wrote with purpose (end-consumer driven) and with our brand in mind - and this skill can't easily be taught (mindset of a digital marketer) but would be a considerable asset for any brand. Last but certainly not least, if you want to be a successful content specialist, you need to be a team player. At AOR, so much of our work is collaboration. While we sometimes get silo-ed into our individual assignments, we know we couldn’t achieve much without the help of our coworkers, or cross-functional departments. Justine is a collaborator, a thorough and ethical writer, as well as a brilliant creative-type!

Justine uses words like a master chef uses tools. The profound ability to take a subject and create story around it is a gift. Whether crafting a promotional piece or devising an engaging narrative or a learning experience, Justine’s gift is applying all the elements of good storytelling into projects we tackle together. Our development team is able to visualize through her words to create compelling and engaging eLearning and video projects.

Part Agency. Part Matchmaker. The Well is an entirely new approach to forging accounting, operations, marketing, advertising, communications and technology relationships. With Canadian freelancers and contractors, we’re the first human-driven marketplace where building trust is a primary focus.

The Well is designed to make things easy for everyone. Trading the usual risks, costs and time in locating and screening specialists for network of available vetted talents, centralized billing, built in contingencies and back-ups to protect everyone's interests with no hidden costs, recruiter fees or organizational retainers.

Since 2014, The Well has been perfecting a proprietary 22 point vetting system designed specifically to identify professional, committed specialists who are building their business with purpose. That means no side hustlers, hobbyists or 'necessity freelancers' in between full time gigs. Specialists who successfully complete this process are designated to one of two rosters - project or fractional - which is proven to make for stronger matches and lasting relationships with their clients.

Think of our roster members as the celebrities, and we'e their agents.

We provide clients with support and advice, and recommend the best individuals and teams to tackle each job with a look to developing lasting relationships - all for free and without obligation.
