Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Clerk If you are a Law Clerk with experience in both Accident Benefits and Tort matters, this is a great opportunity to join a busy Plaintiff Personal Injury practice where your work will have meaningful impact. Our Client is seeking someone with at least one year of hands-on experience across both areas to support their growing team, with exposure to Commercial matters considered a strong asset. The ideal candidate is also someone who is comfortable handling a busy file load of approximately eighty (80) active Tort and Accident Benefits matters, with the ability to stay organized, efficient, and on top of competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.This role offers a structured hybrid work model, beginning with in-office training before transitioning into a flexible schedule of one day per week in office. Salary: $45K+ (Based on Experience)
Location: Markham (Hybrid Remote)
Key Responsibilities Assist with the management of Accident Benefits and Tort files from intake through to resolution Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and forms Communicate with clients, insurers, counsel, and third parties as required Organize and maintain both electronic and physical file systems Prepare and manage documentation for hearings, mediations, and settlements Support lawyers with file preparation, including gathering medical records and other supporting documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date file notes and case management entries Manage deadlines, calendars, and scheduling related to active files Assist with general administrative duties as required
Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury law Experience in commercial matters is an asset Experience handling both Accident Benefits and Tort matters is required Strong understanding of personal injury processes and file progression Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems Ability to work both independently and within a team Completion of a Law Clerk diploma or equivalent is an asset Strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality
