This is an exciting opportunity to join the existing legal department of a large, well-established company and work as a Paralegal to become an integral part of their In-House Legal Department. This Paralegal will report to the General Counsel and provide support on a variety of matters, including contract management, real estate. merger and acquisition transactions, IP, and litigation. This Paralegal will work across a broad range of legal matters to help ensure that the department operates efficiently and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly organized Paralegal who is eager to grow across multiple areas of law in a collaborative and dynamic milieu.
Responsibilities:
Manage contract administration, including the company's contract platform; Draft various agreements, including services contracts, contributor agreements, statements of work, and other commercial documents; Support compliance and regulatory matters, including corporate filings, registrations, and ongoing requirements; Manage and maintain internal tracking tools, including the trademark portfolio; Support M&A transactions, including due diligence and preparing transactional documents; Assist with disputes and litigation files; Review and verify billing from external counsel and coordinate payment; Maintain the department's calendar of key events and deadlines; Draft and update internal policies, guidelines, and legal templates; Proofread and edit a wide range of legal and corporate documents; Contribute to branding initiatives and cross-functional department projects; and Facilitate use of AI and emerging technology tools to improve the department's speed, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements:
Completed college diploma in Paralegal Technology; Approximately 2-5 years of Paralegal or related legal experience; Experience with commercial contracts and corporate legal matters; Strong drafting skills and attention to detail; Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment; Entrepreneurial mindset with interest to undertake new areas of law; Experience with IP (trademarks, copyright) and/or litigation files is a strong asset; and Bilingual with strong English skills.
