Overview

TDS is currently seeking a Paralegal in eDiscovery Litigation department. Under the direct supervision of the Litigation Practice Group Lead, the eDiscovery Paralegal performs a broad range of tasks in connection with litigation matters handled by lawyers within the litigation department.

The eDiscovery Paralegal is responsible for services to litigation lawyers relating to planning, design, development, application and implementation of IPro. The eDiscovery

Paralegal will address the identification, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production of evidence in litigation matters. The eDiscovery Paralegal works with substantial independence and a high degree of responsibility and initiative while under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

The eDiscovery Paralegal must be knowledgeable in the Court of King’s Bench Rules, civil procedures (including privilege and relevance), case management and case theories. Duties include but are not limited to:

Consults with lawyers on all aspects of eDiscovery from identification, preservation, collection, and document review to production; Process source data to upload, import and export to and from IPro review platforms and perform quality control analysis. Converting e-mail and hard drive productions into litigation support image-enabled databases. Provide error identification and research solutions in the processing environment. Provides overviews, presentations and training to internal and external clients on the IPro platform. Trains assistants and lawyers on litigation support procedures and equipment including scanning documents and copying CD/DVD’s. Assist with document preparation, scanning and coding hard copy documents. Keeps current on best practices and current technology trends by attending trainings, meetings, seminars, demonstrations and conferences that relate to eDiscovery and litigation support technology; keep current on case law relating to eDiscovery litigation.

To be successful in this role, you must be extremely flexible, highly motivated, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, with a mature, positive attitude and strong work ethic in a fast-paced, professional environment, is a must. To succeed as a paralegal in this role, you must also possess the ability to prioritize, have superior organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
