Opportunity
Millennium Insurance is seeking a Bodily Injury Adjuster who is interested in expanding their expertise and transitioning into a Casualty Adjuster role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a claims professional to leverage their existing bodily injury experience while developing broader casualty claims knowledge and expertise.
We recognize the strong transferable skills between bodily injury and casualty claims, including liability investigation, coverage analysis, negotiation, reserve management, and stakeholder communication. The successful candidate will receive support and mentorship to further develop their casualty claims handling capabilities while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.

What you will be doing
Conduct thorough investigations of bodily injury claims, including reviewing accident reports, medical records, and interviewing involved parties Evaluate liability and damages to determine claim value, propose claim reserves and negotiate settlements within established authority limits Review policy coverage and interpret relevant laws and regulations Collaborate with medical professionals, legal counsel, and other experts to gather necessary information and support claim decisions Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documentation, and reports in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, providing status updates, and addressing concerns from claimants, policyholders, and other stakeholders Stay up to date with industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in bodily injury claims management
What you bring to the team
Minimum of three (3) years of auto bodily injury claims handling experience Post-secondary education and/or CIP designation are considered an asset Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the relationship to quantum is required Ability to interpret case law and applicable legislation related to bodily injury Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with claimants, policyholders and legal representatives Experience in mediation/settlement conferences is preferred but not required. Proficient computer skills, including experience with claims management software and MS Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions High level of attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks High degree of emotional intelligence and empathy

In your first year, success will be measured by your ability to independently manage bodily injury claims, accurately assess liability exposures, establish appropriate reserves, negotiate fair settlements, and deliver exceptional service to customers and stakeholders. You will also demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply your transferable skills to develop broader casualty claims expertise.
