Role Description The Law Student role at Elsafadi Law is a full-time, on-site position based in Edmonton, AB. The individual in this role will assist with legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and preparing case summaries and memos. Day-to-day tasks include organizing case files, supporting lawyers with trial and hearing preparation, and helping manage client communications under supervision. The law student may also assist in maintaining internal databases, monitoring deadlines, and performing administrative tasks related to ongoing matters. This role provides hands-on experience in a law practice and an opportunity to develop practical skills in a professional setting. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of Law and legal principles, and enrollment in or completion of law school courses Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating cases, interpreting statutes, and assessing legal issues Effective Communication skills, including clear, professional interaction with clients and colleagues Proficient Writing abilities for drafting legal documents, correspondence, and case summaries Solid Research skills for locating, reviewing, and synthesizing case law, legislation, and legal commentary High level of professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing files and deadlines Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment and follow guidance from supervising lawyers Proficiency with standard office software and legal research tools is an asset
