Join One of Brampton's Growing Family Law Firms As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Family Law Clerk to join our team. This position is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our lawyers by managing files, preparing court materials, communicating with clients, and ensuring matters move efficiently from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities As a Family Law Clerk at Badesha Law, you will be responsible for managing family law files with accuracy and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and organizing client files from opening through completion. Drafting and preparing family law documents, including: Applications and Answers Affidavits Financial Statements Case Conference, Settlement Conference and Trial Management Conference Briefs Motion Records Trial Records Continuing Records Books of Authorities and Compendiums Orders and Consent Orders Preparing Net Family Property Statements, child support calculations, spousal support calculations, and organizing financial disclosure. Preparing and processing uncontested and joint divorce applications. Reviewing, organizing, and managing client financial disclosure. Filing documents electronically with the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice. Coordinating service of court documents and ensuring compliance with the Family Law Rules. Scheduling client meetings, mediations, examinations, conferences, and court appearances. Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, mediators, and third parties. Maintaining accurate file records, calendars, limitation dates, and court deadlines. Assisting lawyers with litigation preparation, negotiations, and trial preparation. Providing exceptional client service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess: Minimum 5 years of Ontario Family Law Clerk experience. Thorough knowledge of Ontario Family Law Rules and court procedures. Strong experience preparing: Financial Statements Net Family Property calculations Child and Spousal Support calculations Financial Disclosure Briefs Uncontested Divorce Applications Excellent drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to independently manage a large volume of files while consistently meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information. A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
