Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Forensic Mental Health Program)

Employment Type: Part - time (14 hours a week) Duration: Parental leave cover from 18th September 2026 – 3rd March 2028 Remuneration: $133k - $185k base prorated (+17% super and a leave loading) Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position Location: UNSW Randwick (Hybrid working)

UNSW School of Clinical Medicine

The School of Clinical Medicine encompasses all our clinical campuses and disciplines as well as several other affiliated clinical sites. We have four main metropolitan clinical campuses which include our South West Sydney Campus, St George and Sutherland Campuses, the Randwick Campus and St Vincent's Healthcare Campus. Our Rural Campuses include Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Wagga Wagga, Albury and Griffith.

The Opportunity

This position has primary responsibility for course design, implementation and evaluation. This position is responsible for ensuring that the program delivers evidence-based, up to date teachings across all clinical subjects in the Forensic Mental Health Program, across the academic calendar.

Key Skills And Experience Required

Level B

Health or legal/justice professional undergraduate and postgraduate qualification (or equivalent professional experience where a postgraduate qualification has not been completed), for example in psychology, psychiatry, nursing, allied health, law, criminology or other related discipline Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and development. Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales) Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable)

Level C (in addition to the above)

Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement. Demonstrated ability to interact with the profession and industry and attract funding for learning and teaching initiatives. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering interdisciplinary educational content to students from varying professional/educational backgrounds.
