Job Summary

We are seeking a Real Estate and Business Analyst to join our team in Revelstoke. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, market research, and analysis to support our real estate investment and development projects. This role involves evaluating real estate properties, leases, markets, and investment opportunities as well as helping to track performance against the projections to provide recommendations for optimizing our resort and real estate portfolio. Previous experience with a developer or lender to development projects is required.

Essential Job Functions

Conduct financial analysis and modeling to assess the viability of real estate investments, including cash flow, ROI, IRR, and NPV calculations.
Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the real estate market.
Prepare and present detailed investment reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with the development, finance, and project management teams to gather data and insights for analysis.
Review and analyze legal documents related to real estate transactions, such as leases, contracts, and loan agreements.
Monitor the performance of existing real estate investments and recommend strategies for value enhancement.
Stay updated with the latest real estate market developments, regulatory changes, and economic indicators affecting the real estate industry.
Support sr. team with assembling funding strategies and analysis of the debt/ equity requirements for various projects.

This assignment has the opportunity to work directly with the development team and as capacity and competency of the individual allows take on development management tasks and potentially evolve into more development management or manager role.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CCIM) is a plus.
1-3 years of experience in real estate analysis, financial modeling, or a related field.
Proficiency in financial modeling tools as well as building models for diverse investment scenarios.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational
