The team

The Marketing and Business Development Coordinator for the Calgary and Vancouver offices reports to the Marketing and Business Development Manager in Calgary and is part of the Canadian Client Services Team.

The role

The Marketing and Business Development Coordinator assists with a number of different marketing and business development tactics and initiatives both regionally and nationally. This role is responsible for coordinating client and community engagement activities including allocating tickets and tables and managing the local sponsorship and donations opportunities for the regional offices. The role also supports invoicing and nationally driven programs and requires excellent writing, organizational and time management skills.


  • Allocate and track tickets and tables
  • Process payments for invoices, expenses and marketing credit cards
  • Coordinate new lawyer photos
  • Update partner bios with firm rankings
  • Review and consult with lawyers on updates to website and LinkedIn profiles
  • Review and assemble marketing and business development materials
  • Support campaigns, initiatives and events
  • Manage the RSVP inbox
  • Fulfill day-to-day office and practice group requests
  • Support promotional merchandise orders in local office
  • Ensure compliance with communication policies, procedures and brand standards

Skills and qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in a professional services firm environment preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking and analytical skills with the ability to meet deadlines within a fast paced work environment
  • Positive attitude and approach to each task
  • Ability to initiate action and work both independently and in a team environment
  • Quick problem solver
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at the same time, prioritize and accommodate last-minute requests
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prepare a variety of reports in Word and Excel
  • Ability to create and revise PowerPoint presentations
