We are the creators of a magical event called Enchant Christmas. We have hosted over two million guests over the past 4 years and have experienced significant growth. Pre-Covid, we were the fastest-growing company in BC. As we embrace change in the events industry, we have refocused, restructured and are ready to continue building the Enchant experience. While Christmas is a big part of what we do, it is only the beginning of where we intend to go and we need a Paralegal to help pave the way.

We’ve set the bar high and we are looking for someone to catapult over it.


WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Develop and finalize engagement agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, consulting agreements, venue agreements, software/tools licenses, employment-related agreements, etc.
  • Create, roll-out and maintain legal policies, procedures, and templates as needed, in cooperation with other team members.
  • Legal department tool implementations and management.
  • Prepare project specific contract administration guides.
  • Assist staff with the interpretation and practical application of contract documents.
  • Effectively and tactfully communicate with clients, lawyers, and staff in diverse situations.
  • Participate in special projects undertaken by Enchant, including coordinating the projects, research, scheduling, follow-up and production of final reports/results.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the legal department, including carrying out any additional responsibilities assigned from time to time.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in either corporate law firms or in-house positions.
  • Understanding of legal documents, navigating contracts, and interpreting them.
  • Highly intelligent and detail oriented.
  • Great communication skills.
  • A willingness to learn new things and work in a fast-paced environment, while prioritizing projects.
  • Basic knowledge of contract administration procedures.
  • Display sound judgement and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Good planning and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products.
  • US and Canadian contract experience preferred.
