The Legal Assistant will primarily support the Senior Vice President, Global Transactions and the Legal Transactions Team in Vancouver, Toronto, London and New York. The LA will also support other members of the Legal and International Investments teams by taking ownership for managing transactions and file information; establishing and maintaining organizational systems to manage transaction-flow; researching, reviewing and revising documents; and other administrative tasks.
Transaction and deal management for the international team including prioritizing daily tasks, maintaining projects list, scheduling meetings, etc.
Revising transaction documents to reflect input from the international team and communications with outside counsel to QR regarding same.
Assisting with KYC requests (including reviewing and compiling authorizing resolutions re: signing officers/authorities, certificates of incumbency, investor form completion, certified resolutions).
Reviewing, negotiating and coordinating execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Coordinating and organizing execution of investment documents by QR management and return of same to counterparties/third parties.
Assisting the Transactions team with tracking the various entities managed/owned by QR and keeping information on such entities up to date (in terms of directors, officers, shareholders etc.)
Assist with banking related inquiries (including authorizing resolutions, certificates of incumbency, form completion).
Assisting with due diligence requests and searches.
Assisting our paralegals with corporate filings, maintenance, and closing books.
Assisting with data room management as required.
Preparing and submitting expense reports as required.
Making travel arrangements for team as required.
Other general administrative and secretarial support services as required.

Successful completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant, Law Clerk or Paralegal program. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an accredited program.
3+ years of experience working in real estate or corporate law would be an asset.
Strong organizational skills, the ability to handle a high volume of work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Previous experience in managing/navigating complex corporate structure and keeping information on such entities up to date (in terms of directors, officers, shareholders etc.).
Strong document production skills and advanced level of proficiency in MS Office.
Meticulously detail oriented -- excellent spelling, grammar, and proof-reading skills.
Ability to take initiative and think ahead.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High energy team player, positive and willing attitude.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to comfortably adapt to the changing environments.
